A Woman's Vengeance (1948) directed by Alexander Korda
Viewed on June 4, 1972
Commentary:
Directed by Korda, but it's Aldous Huxley's show. The dialogue is the thing. It's wonderful, literate dialogue.
The story: Charles Boyer is married to an invalid. During an affair with a young woman, she is murdered. He is arrested for the crime, but the guilty one is an old friend, a woman (not a lover) who had always thought they were lovers.
The direction is pedestrian.
