Hot Fuzz (2007) directed by Edgar Wright
Viewed on July 27, 2019
Plot:
A police officer, who has irritated his superiors because of his excessive enforcement of regulations, is banished to a small town -- where he proceeds to irritate his colleagues once more. But he also uncovers a series of murders orchestrated by the town's leaders.
Commentary:
This is both a satire on cop buddy movies and an effective cop buddy movie. Particularly memorable is the build-up to the final confrontation, with its series of dollies into the expectant villains, as is the final shoot out with Wright's usual flare for unexpected camera movement.
