Infectious documentary about Aguabella and his influence on Afro-Cuban drumming, with appearances by luminaries like Dizzy Gillespie, Katherine Dunham, and Carlos Santana. The film is a standard documentary combining performances, interviews, and stills, but it zips right along, and who can resist that beat. It makes me curious to see the film that is excerpted, Robert Rossen's Mambo.
